Q1. What are the documents to be uploaded?

Ans:- Scanned copy of

  • Original mark sheet.
  • Bank passbook front page (with IFSC code and MICR code written on it)
  • Income certificate.
  • Residential certificate.

Q2.Who can apply for Medhabruti Scholarship?

Ans:- Below are the criteria to apply for medhabruti.

  • Applicant should be a resident of Odisha
  • Parental income should be upto 6.00 lakhs.
  • Applicants should have secured more than 60% of mark(aggregate) of last exam appeared
    1. For P.G Courses:- +3 aggregate Mark.
    2. For U.G (Engineering & Medical Courses):- + 2 aggregate Mark
    3. Other Professional Courses:- 60% in +2/+3/equivalent examination as applicable to pursue the Technical/Professional courses for both boys and girls.
  • Applicant should apply only in the year of Pass out .For example, student passing Class XII exam in 2017 only can apply for Senior Merit Scholarship in the year 2017-18.

Q3. Who are not eligible to apply?


  • Diploma course Students.
  • Lateral Entry Students
  • Distance course Students.
  • B.Ed and M.Ed course Students.
  • M.Phil and PhD Students.
  • Applicants those who have discontinued their studies.For example , Students passing Class XII exam in 2016 having a year gap and joining Engg/Medical/any professional courses in the year 2017 can not avail medhabruti scholarship under technical/professional category.

Q4.Can a candidate avail multiple scholarships?

Ans:- No. As per Govt. Guidelines, a candidate can avail only one scholarship from Central or State Govt.For example, students planning to take PRERANA Scholarship under SC & ST welfare Deptt. Should not apply for e-medhabruti.

Q5. How to get Residence certificate?

Ans:- The concerned student has to obtain his/her residence certificate from the concerned Tahasildar/Addl.Tahasildar. The students whose parents are working under odisha state Govt. can produce resident proof from the employer.

Q6.Which Income certificate is needed to be uploaded?

Ans:- The concerned student has to obtain the parental income certificate from the concerned Tahasildar / Addl.Tahasildar. Renewal cases: For students applying for renewal shall be required to submit the same Income & Residence Certificate as they have submitted earlier during the year of selection. In case the documents are not available, then fresh documents should be collected and uploaded.

Q7.Which marks to be considered while applying?

Ans:- Only aggregate marks obtained in the last board/council/university examination are to filled by the applicants.(Only Honours mark/Semester marks etc. Shall not be considered).

Q8.How to change/rectify if any mistake happened by students after final submission?

Ans:- One has to contact the concerned principal/Head of the institution for any further modification after final submission by students.

Q9. Why .PDF format not uploading?

Ans:- only .pdf(small) file will be uploaded.

Q10.What are the specifications of scanning the document to upload.

Ans:- Below are the criteria to upload documents.

  • Format of the document should be .pdf(not .PDF).
  • Each scanned document size should be within 2MB.
  • Each document should be scanned in text format(Not in color fomat or picture format).

Q11.Any technical problems like [Renewal lists not showing/pdf not uploading / Data jumbling /Modify option not working/Server Error issue etc.] whom to contact?

Ans:- 16.09.2017

Q14.What is the last date to for 2017-18 fresh & renewal by Principal/head of the institutions?

Ans:- 30.09.2017

Q15.How to get new password in case the principal forgot the old password ?

Ans:- Please send the college details to mail id for generation of new password which will be sent to their registered email/mobile number.

Q16.How to get new user id and password in case the college is not listed?

Ans:- Please send a email of a scanned copy in the college letterhead to requesting for generation of new user id & password which will be sent to their registered email/mobile number.
